Gör om, gör rätt

I coloured the dude that I was going to use for that competition-thingie, buuut..

I don't like how it turned out.. SO! I did a new one!

It's not finished yet but I already like it a lot more than the previous one. As I started with this I thought about a thing that my friend Ida told me YEARS ago: Gör om, gör rätt! Translated it means something like "Do it again, do it right". I find it pretty encouraging even tho it sounds a bit.. hard..

Yesssss.. I'm to lazy to use my scanner for this..

Buuut.. Eeeh.. Everything sort of sucks XD The quality of the video is bad and now when I uploaded it the music doesn't sync as it should!
Well, I'm just going to laugh about it now, there's a first time for everything~ I'll make it better next time ^^

STAMPEDE

A friend of mine, Elias, have made an fantastic graphic profile for a couple of our pals in the band STAMPEDE! I especially love the feather and bone crossing. And of course, I like the music by Stampede~
So, guess what.. I made a bag!

The picture bellow is the pattern for the back. I don't have "real" camera atm. so cooler pictures will be up latorz! If someone else don't get the bag before that..

Summer competition, Kreatima

Right now one of the art stores I get most of my stuff from has a competition- draw a summer postcard and you can win a 1500kr gift card!
Today I went by to ask if you can enter the competition with more then one entry, and the cashier said that she didn't see any problem in that. So, my plan is to do as many as I have time and creativity for! Here is the first one:



It's watercolour paint on some more "fancy" paper, and the fish is drawn with 0,05 and 0,03 ink pens.

Tonight I have done the line art for the second one, and I'm just about to start colour it- tho I'm really insecure HOW..

Muji & Granit

Today I was at a store called Muji and their stuff really impresses me!I love their style, mostly because I'm a sucker for cardboard paper.. but also of the simplicity. If they would describe one of their products, I think it would be something like "This is a note book. Nothing more, nothing less". I didn't buy anything this time, but I can almost promise that I'll get something from Muji in the near future..!


Another store that I like is Granit.
I guess Granit and Muji is kind of the same except for their choice of colours and some materials. One thing that I prefer when it comes to Granit, is that they don't use as mush plastic as Muji.

I didn't bring my camera, so none of the pictures is taken by me!

I bet that I'll spend a lot of money at both Granit and Muji when I get a job and it's time for me to move away from home again..!

Cows bark

A while ago I got this book from a friend of mine. It's written by Dorte Nielsen and it's about how to come up with new, original, ideas. Also, it contains good recommendations how to preserve old ideas and how not to get stuck in a creative flow.


I don't know if it exist in English, but if you get the chance to read it, I recommend it! Of course it's not for everyone, but I have read it two times already and plan to do it at least once more before I start at Hyper Island..

Look what I got about a week ago!! STICKERS!! FROM ONE OF MY FAVOURITE BLOGS!! OuO


Hahaha I asked on Twitter if Shitxfaced would like to exchange some stickers with me, so we met up and I got all this - it was like Christmas..! From me they got some burgers, zombie hands, sausages and my logo~

Combo

You know how you can make combos of one good thing with another, to make an awesome mix? Like ice cream and chocolate souse for example!
Well, these sorts of mixes is something that makes me happy.. I just saw this music video and it just made me so happy! It sounds really silly when I put it to words like this, but think about it. It's a great song with a great video. You get sooo much more than just a song, or just a video!



I'm really exited to start school again. I have only heard/seen good things about/from Hyper Island and Motion Graphic seems like SUCH a fun thing to focus on! I have no idea what I'll turn out to be, or if I'm any good at motion, but it feels right..!

One of the reasons why I want those spray cans may be becouse I recently saw the movie "Exit Through the Gift Shop". I guess you can say it's a movie about graffiti, but it's about some other stuff as well. I really liked the beginning of it, but I'm not sure of the end.. Anyway, I recommend it!!

Experiment

Yesterday when I was surfing the interwebz I found an offer on spray cans (found here) that makes my fingers itch! But what would I use it for? While thinking about buying it or not, I did a little test with what I had at home: cardboard and some coloured hairspray from Halloween.

I'm a n00b when it comes to stencils, but I think it turned out okay!


The result of it all doesn't look too good (looks worse in picture) but I didn't expect an perfect result since I sprayed on ordinary, thin paper that doesn't respond well to water etc.
