SOCKER Sunday

There is an upcoming lifestyle magazine called SOCKER edited by an ex Hyper Island student. I've never met her but she seems like a cool kid and I think this magazine will be crazy! Read and see more about it on their Facebook page.
Well, the thing is I got an e-mail saying they're looking for illustrators, photographers, whatever to  illustrate toe theme Sunday. This is my sketch:

For me Sundays are these days where daily questions turns into big missions;
- What do I want to eat?
- Should I clean?
- Is it worth it putting on pants?

I've been coming up with a lot of ideas but in the end this silly and maybe boring one is the one that I feel like doing.

Drawing Again

It's been a long time now since I was drawing regularly and I think it's about time I change that. This is what I've tried to to yesterday and the day before. My hand is so shaky and I feel a bit lost, I've sort of forgotten how to draw anything else than chibis.. To start with I'm going soft, to get used to the pen again but I have a lot of ideas written/sketched down that I would love to give a try when I've freshened up my skills again!

SWOSH!!

Started with this when I had some spare time at House of Radon and kept working on it when I had some more or when my brain needed something else. I plan to ad some more things to it, like a text or maybe some shadows

Molotow ONE4ALL

Today I got myself some new pens, they're from Molotow and named ONE4ALL.
I was going to get some other ones, but they haven't put them up on display yet so I asked for something fun and/or Poska pens instead. That's when the guy shoved me there. He said that they contain a lot more paint and I think they were cheaper as well. I like trying new things so I got myself three of them, two 4mm and one 1-2mm with an extra fine tip.

Well, the colour of the turquoise one was a disappointment and the thin tip doesn't do too well on areas with some textures (he did tell me about that but I wanted to try anyway), but otherwise they seem quite nice. They cover super good and dry pretty fast.

Blobby

Remember that huge monster-sticker I was making? Well, now you can find it at Vitabergsparken in Stockholm. I got some friends to help me and now it's named Blobby!

Bad Boys & Braille

I might just have gotten one of the biggest ego-boosts ever. Yesterday I went to the release party for the magazine Uttryck, you know, the one I've been doing illustrations for! Let's take a closer look!!

Here's the front plus a small portrait for which I've made

Look at this, this is fucking amazing! A whole page, for MY illustration!!

I met Odessan who wrote the text I made the illustration for, and apparently this was the best spread in the whole magazine according to one of the guys who's been working putting it all together. Iiih!!

And you know what's better then one full page? ANOTHER ONE!
I didn't expect this, I knew the other one would get a full page but shit this made me happy haha.

Only thing that irritates me is that they have put the title for the text on top of my illustrations. I don't think it looks good and I would like to have been informed about it. If I knew that was the case, I would have liked to make them myself.
Over all the release party was nice, talked to some people, drank apple juice, brought with me a whole bunch of magazines, broke a small glass piece on a door, got a lot of compliments from both then project leader, editor and others and the facilitate was super cool. What made me most happy was that Odessan liked my illustration for her text, that was the only thing that worried me!

TACK House of Radon!

My time at House of Radon is now over- for this time. My internship has ended but I hope I'll have the joy of working with all the cool people there again in the future!
Well, I was quite surprise for a gathering in the kitchen where Johan, the guy I've been working with, said his thanks to me and gave me THIS as a gift

I felt quite shy around all the people but was of course super happy! Seriously, House of Radon is fucking awesome collection of skilled and nice people.
