Yesterday I got home pretty early from school, so I started doing some small things. But then it evolved into something bigger..
Well, it was fun having an non-digital evening for once!

Hyper Island in pictures

There has been a lot of stuff going on at Hyper Island recently- especially today! We have been doing a lot of team building stuff, kind of the same as the first week but in one day.

I don't have any finished work to show from our project now, that'll probably come tomorrow.. So, here's some random pictures from school! It may not make much sense, but I think you'll find some of them.. particular and fun~

Christmas calendar

Yesterday me and a classmate sat down and started planing the Christmas calendar our class will be doing! People who have signed up will make a short movie (minimum of 3 sek.) on a certain day between the 1st and 24th (the Swedish day of Christmas) of December. I have the 14th and 23rd~
We'll present the movies for our classmates (and others if they want to come by) at school, but we'll also update a tumblr every day + the movies will be up on our class Vimeo!

Production

Yesterday we got introduced to our new, very much anticipated, module here at Hyper Island- Production!
During four weeks we're going to do two projects, and yesterday we started with the first one that'll be done next week. This project will end up as a 30-60sek long movie that our client will use as visuals at an event.
The mission is to only use grayscale colours and make the logo the "hero". My group has decided on using origami as our source of inspiration, something that I really like!
Here is what I've done so far:

Yes, that's correct, I've started exploring the world of 3D! This isn't that particularly complicated, but still it makes my brain go crazy!! I just can't connect my mind with my actions..

Slow Project

Remember this one? I started drawing it (on paper) last summer, and did the digital line art about nine months ago. As you can see, I've started to add colour to it now. I'm not sure if I'll keep working on it until it's done or take another long pause, but hopefully I'll do most of the basic colours within this month or so. I really like this picture, and it's quite a challenge to get it done so I'll get really mad at myself if I leave it undone for eternity..!

For those who havn't seen this project before, it's going to be a 50x70cm big poster (or something ells that's big!)

Yesterday I got a request from my friend, to draw a French guy~ She want to have it on a bag so I'll try to make that for her as soon as possible

Time Off

I'm sitting at home, taking a break from everything that has to do with school.. I love Hyper Island, but today I felt that I really had to take a break from it all. So, I've been taking a walk, seeing two good friends and now I'm sitting at my desk making stuff like this~

72 Houers of Peace, day 2

World Peace

Today a 72h. project started at Hyper Island, and it involes both the Karlskrona and Stockholm classes. We have gotten an assignment that we're working on in themes with members from all the classes. And what's the assignment? To bring world peace (for at least 24h.)!
We've just started, but maaan.. It's a real tough one! Do you have any ideas of what could bring the world peace? Share them! As I said, it's really hard to find a solution to it all, but it's a nice subject and it can bring you good ideas of how to turn something bad into something loving~

Wohoo! Yesterday I got the bags I ordered in the mail! Really happy with the colours, tho it all cost me double the amount of money then what I was expecting..

Working on a line art portrait of a random, but very fancy, dude that I found. It was super fun to do all the lines and see him "grow", but it looked quite empty when I was done with it. So now I'm working on some colouring, not sure if I'll use it, but it's worth it if it looks better in the end!

Hum.. It feels like there's a lot of "wolf-things" going on right now.. This has nothing to do with my group (Manwolfs & Wolfmother), I'm helping out with some freelance stuff.

Monster

Storyboard

Works keep coming in here at Hyper island, right now me and my classmates are in the "Pre Production" module. What we're earning is to put together treatments, that is, in short terms, to put everything together for production. Story, storyboard, mood board/reference pictures, audio notes and so on~

Btw, we're having a lecture today about advertising history! I recommend you to look up more of these volkswagen commercials!

Panda Animation

About two months ago I showed a short test animation of a panda walking, and when it came to posting the final version I just forgot it.. Sooo, here it is!
The task was to make a combination of "Panda" and "Shoes".

Monster 4 Jan

My classmate Jan asked me to make a monster for him. It's supposed to be in the header/baner of his website, so I'll post pictures of that later. He'll be the one "digitalising" it so it'll fit in with the rest of his stuff, looking forward to see what he'll do with my sketch~

I don't think I have mentioned it before, but I have been working on a t-shirt for another friend, Lucas. The pattern for that is a monster as well! I won't post any pictures of it until he has gotten the t-shirt, that because I want him to be the first one to see it.. ^^
