I have cool friends that has their work published in big tattoo magazines

I'm super happy for one of my oldest and best friends, Ida!

For as long I can remember knowing her she have wanted to become a tattoo artist. I've seen her struggle and fight getting there and now I'm beaming with pride about her! Seeing your friends grow and making their dreams come true is amazing.
Ida is working as an apprentice at Rough Stuff Tattoo in Uppsala and the photo is taken from nr. 121 of Scandinavian Tattoo Magazine~

Was it all real?

Now I'm finally back in Sweden. It's weird that so little has changed and I feel a bit confused about it. Was I really living in Paris for two months? And how come I now have a bunch of new friends in London all of a sudden?
I'm thinking of going back to London in September again depending on money and work, but for now I'll be taking it easy for e few days, maybe weeks, to enjoy the Swedish summer. Eating strawberries and ice cream while just enjoying the fresh air and green surrounding that makes Sweden and Stockholm sooo good.

Stuff and things

I constantly find new blogs and cool websites in general. I do forget about some of them after adding them to my bookmarks, but now I've been skimming it through and here's some of the fresh stuff I found that I would like to share:
+ I spent my midsummer in Hyde Park and here's a azum (random) video related to it:

Douchebag brain

I've started to pack together my Paris and London life now to head back to Stockholm again and doing so I've noticed a few stuff. One of them is that I don't have enough cool t-shirt (and too many old ones with holes in them) and that my obsession for pens have start to come alive again.

I guess it has to do with drawing one picture a day. It's hard to make something digital every day, at least for me. I spend a lot of hours at my computer every day, both when it comes to work and just for the LoLs. Sitting on the computer there's a lot of distractions going on (Skype, FB, Youtube, 9Gag, blogs, etc,. etc.) so if I'm not focused the thing I'm working on will take a lot longer to make, and I prefer not to spend even MORE time on the computer if I don't have to after a long day of starring into the screen..  AND ALSO I DON'T/CAN'T DRAG AROUND MY COMPUTER + TABLET EVERYWHERE!! So it's much easier to carry around some loose papers or a sketch book. And that leads me to what might become my next addiction: Sketchbooks.

I've never really used sketchbooks before, usually I get one, draw on the first five pages and then go back to draw on loose A4 papers. But, one again, I think this has to do with drawing one picture a day. It's nice to have a place where it's all gathered.
Anyway, back to my precious pens.
I can't no longer fit all my favorite/the pencils I use the most in the two pen cases I have any more but still my brain is like "You need MORE..!!" There's this reaaallyyy nice art supply store close to to the Partizan office that's selling Promarkers for a good price. I've already bought a pack of 5 and yesterday when I was using them my brain said
"You should get more. They are cheap"
and I'm like "No brain, they are expensive!"
and it's countering with "Nooo, no, not at all! It's cheaper then in Sweden"
and I try to fight it with saying "But I don't really need them and.."
but my brain is like "They are in pretty colors. You need them."

So tomorrow I'm going shopping.

I love having a lot of material, that way it feels in some way easier to draw and make something that can become good. But in the end I guess it's just an addiction.. that I'm obsessed with having ALL THE COLORS and seeing my collection grow.
I guess one sign of my obsession is that I do stuff like this, super long and random blog entries about them..

Post Production

The last 3 days I've been lucky enough to spend, once again, at the Blink office! This time I've been working on a project involving dolls. My part in it has been Post Production (same as last time). I've had a great time with a bunch of fun dudes and new skills. I think the result will be really cool and since I don't dare to spoil too much, I'll just give you this confusing screen shot from yesterday and post more when I know it's been released~

This is also the first time I get money from working with motion!!

Working station

When I got back to London I brought with me some bags from Stockholm, and since I'll be leaving the UK soon again I thought I should do something with them and not drag them back to Sweden.
It turned out to be a bit tricky..

I don't have a desk, a chair, light table, my brushes + paint and no printer.. So this was pretty much going back to basic! First I had to trace an image from my computer screen, stick it to the inside of the bag with tape and then tape it to my window!! Also I bought a new pen yesterday to use for this. The first t-shirt I did was made very similar..

Passion Pit - Take A Walk

I posted this about me working with David Wilson two weeks ago and now the result is out on the internet for you all to enjoy!

I've been working on three of the scenes and seeing everything now (the whole video) after all the errors being corrected and scenes put together I'm impressed how Oscar, Ross and all the others working on this made it!

Titles

Remember this project? Well, it was a while ago since I worked on it but I'm glad to do so again! Using all these colours and drawing in pixels is a nice change from what I've been doing lately. Now that I think of it, haven't it been a lack of colours for a while now..?
Anyhow, this project started a few months ago and I've been writing some previous posts about it. The story is about a guy who sells fruits and has to fight off candy and collect slices of melon to later defeat the boss!! Pretty kick-ass story, right? The idea from the beginning was just to create something nice for the eye with bright colours and fancy character designs.

Unfortunately this will only be a video, not a real game.

Behance

Haven't posted anything about it yet, but I got myself a Behance account some months ago. I haven't really updated it until just a week ago, so that's why~
I'm trying to learn how everything works and see what I like, so all my projects this far looks different!
Please give me feedback if you have any, follow if you have an account and recommend me some cool artists~

There is some things irritating me, but it's okay for now.

Brain

This is a sketch of how my brain works. Sort of.
Well, I'm working on the short animation and I need to plan how to make the transactions between the objects. Usually I would just do it as I went on, but I figured that it's better to learn how to do it properly.
THIS WILL TAKE FOREVER~

We Wear Sneakers

I'm not sure I've told this before, but me and a couple of classmates from Hyper Island have a collective together. We go under the name We Wear Sneakers.
Max, who's the one starting this, asked me if I could to all of our portraits for the webpage since it's under construction and empty atm. and it's nice to see who's behind the work. So far I've only made his portrait, the idea is to have everyone in the same style with a bandana~

Tills du spyr

Finished another old piece!! I started working on this one in March as well.
Yesterday when I finished the previous picture I got a reminder of how fun and useful it is using textures, so I kept going that direction for this piece as well. The line art is made in Illustrator. I prefer Photoshop, but since I wanted to make something big (this image is originally 50x70cm) with this already from the start I decided to use vector- a good choice!! I had imagined something more colourful when I started this, but I like this as well.
This is lyrics from a song by Kent - Dom andra

The text says "Eat fat and sugar until you vomit"

We all scream for ICE CREAM!

Remember this one? I started on it on Mars and thought it was about time to finish it.

I was thinking about making a more detailed background for this, but the original one (from my photo reference) was dark and boring and honestly I don't feel like looking for a new one or cut something together.

Alone in the basement

Shit. Yesterday I realized I only have 9 working days left at Partizan. Fuck.
And today there's NO ONE in the basement with me and I don't have any cool stuff to work on!
Well, I guess that gives me time to look for studios I can apply working for..~

Where the hell did May go?!

Just minutes ago I started to collect the pictures from May and what the hell?! I could only find pictures from 11 days! I'm a 100% sure I've been drawing every day so this is really surprising. I guess the best explanation for this is that I have counted the squid animations (for Partizan), cell animation (for the music video) and my (even more) character design sketches for Jan as "Todays picture".
This is really disappointing and hopefully it's a good lesson for me, to actually draw a picture and not be so lazy with this project, for, honestly, I have been really lazy with it..
Anywayzzz, here's the pictures I found:

Portraits

Abooouuut.. three weeks ago I bought this AMAZING book here in London. It contains shitloads of portraits by over 80 artists from all around the world in a lot of different styles for your eyes and brain to enjoy~ Every artist is presented individually with information where to find more of their work and sometimes for whom they are working. It cost me (if I remember correctly) £24 and was totally worth it!
A week after I bought this book I found more in the same style by Illustration now!, but personally I think this is the best one.

The front portrait, pretty smart imo.~
