10. Berätta om någonting som du tycker är alldeles särskilt vackert

10. Tell us about something you think is extra ordinary beautiful

I have a big love for nature. I love just walking around, see what's around me and let myself be impressed by the things I don't fully understand and the free will of plants and animals. Last year after living in Paris and London for 4 months, one of the first things I did when I returned home was to go and lay down in the forest, among blueberry springs under the trees.

It's hard for me to put it in words, but; Nature is everything for me. It's life, beauty, power, death. It gives me a feeling of how small I am but also that everything is possible. Without nature we're nothing.

4. Berätta om hur du får dina kläder att hålla längre

4. Explain what you do to make your clothes last longer

I don't wash my clothes too often and that keeps the shape and seems of the garment from tearing (+ good for the environment). I've had so many hoodies and sweaters that in the end just looked like a big, flat piece of fabric..

Before I throw something away I think of what other possibilities the garment still have. If it's jeans I often cut off a leg and use if I need to repair another pair. Last week I saved two of my favourite jeans from the trash! I have a hard time throwing away clothes in general, often I stuff them at the back of my closet until I miss/need them.

This summer I didn't have money to get a new jacket so I took one of my mums old jeans jackets and sew a Bloody Rainbow patch on it. I still don't feel that jeans jackets are my thing, but that made it more 'me' and fun to wear!

Cross Stitching

Sometimes I get the feeling that some people that don't know me judge me by my piercings- especially since I got my nose ring. Looking at me like I'm 'bad'. If they only knew I spend my Saturday nights doing this..

2. Berätta om vad du har på dig idag

2. Describe what you're wearing today

Today I was going to donate blood (I couldn't though since I was too low on something..) so I didn't want to wear anything with tight arms, therefore I pulled on my knitted sweater. I love the colour of this sweater, it's so cute and somehow I think it goes weary well with my piercings (what?). Also wore my super big mega fluffy and warm scarf I stole from my mum a few years ago, since neither my jacket or sweater have a hoodie/high collar. That scarf is so fantastic, I often drag it with me all year around! Makes me feel safe and warm

1. Berätta om din stil

Today is the first day of Emily Dahls Christmas Calendar! The theme for the whole thing is FASHION, so there will be a lot of talk about clothes and personal thoughts.

1. Describe your style
For me it's often all or noting. One day I can wear a yellow zip-hood, purple jacket, dragon t-shirt, brown pants, yellow Vans with socks in different colours. The next I'm wearing a black sweater with gray jeans and white converse.

I love colours but I appreciate when clothes are simple in a stylish, not boring way. Something  I always do is to wear clothes that I'm comfortable in. They should fit good and/or be me. A friend once told me 'Your colourful, but not in a way that hurts the eyes' and I think that's quite true.

At the moment I'm looking for a 'little black' dress + a sparkling one, I think that summarize it quite good.

PS. If anyone is confused, I am Swedish but I've always written my blog in English- so I'll keep doing that even tho the calendar is in Swedish

Christmas Calender

This year I'm thinking of joining the Christmas calender made by Emily Dahl. It's simply a list with 24 subjects/themes that anyone can join and interpret their own way. This may result for my blog to get more personal and about me than it usually is, hope you don't mind~
I don't think I'll join in every day, but hopefully this can be a part of my 1001 portraits-project or a reason to do something else than draw my own face all the time!

Stick with the good stuff

I am one of those who often stick with the same thing for years if I like them enough. I often like to try some new things, but I don't see the need of change if I already have something that is good.
This is my eraser and it's the only one I use.

I've bought and tried some others since it's good to have extras and not put all my trust into this single one, but nope. None is as good. I've been on the hunt for another one for maybe.. two years now! If you know where to get one in the Stockholm area I would be sooo happy if anyone told me where to find one. Panduro and Kreatime have failed me, my last hope is at Office Depot.
