One Piece One Week - Suitcase

The World of Motion Graphics

Right now at Hyper Island we're working with a module called "The World of Motion Graphics". We are basically learning more about the buissnes and in the end we'll present a persona of a "dream employee" and a film about the facts that we've collected. Fun work, especially when you find really cool showreels etc. Important Looking Pirates has a really cool one with a lot of stuff that I've been drooling about before!

Also, a guy named Maceo Frost that went to Hyper Island MGD last year (that also went to the same high school is me) have made some fffantastic stuff, take a look!

Suitcase

As you may know, I'm currently studying Motion Graphic Design at Hyper Island. We haven't really started working yet since we have mostly set out focus on preparations these last 2-3 weeks. But, pretty soon after that we started a couple of guys in my class came up with the idea "One week One Piece". Basically we're going to select a theme and create something around that in a one week period. This week the theme is "Suitcase" and I'm working with another one in my class! We are going to make a short animation where I'm working on the girl who's the main character in the story. I'll make some mare stuff later, but here's some of the stuff I've made so far~



Not the greatest stuff, but it's fun working in illustrator again! Also, super fun to do clip art stuff!!

Thief

Eeeh.. Someone stole my picture.. And sold it for $288..
WOW!! IS MY ART WORTH THAT MUCH MONEY?! HOOOLY FUCK!!

Okay, okay.. so, all this is really bad since it's A LOT of pictures stolen and from what I've heard the guy who did it earned a lot of cash.. Bad shit!

Workshop

Today Ruben in my class had a workshop about 2D-animation that was really great! We were a couple of ppl. that got to know the foundation of animation- a really good experience.



Also, I've gotten to know that Spanish, Italian and Icelandish ppl. think that it's strange to drink milk while eating meat.. WTF?!

I did colour it, but my scanner is a brutal murderer and it's to dark to take a picture of it. But it's not that important since I didn't care about the colours. (It kind of looks like shit.)

See things grow

Some of you may remember my experiment with the garlic? Well, nothing happen with it..
But, for like.. a month ago I started to grow some new stuff!

I think it's SUPER FUN to see things grow, and it's even more fun to grow things that you can have use for later~ I wish that I had a bigger balcony or a garden, so that I could do more of this fun, creative and stimulating sort of stuff.

Week 1

My first week at Hyper Island have been enormously exhausting!! Every day have been full of new impressions and knowledge. But I feel very comfortable at HI.. My class is a bunch of cool, caring, interesting people that I'm super exited to learn from and get to know on a personal level~

On the fist day we got this notebook + a binder

Of course I couldn't keep myself from drawing a diamond on my notebook..

We have been doing a lot of work in groups, both some deep "get to know yourself and others" -stuff but also fun stuff like energisers!

I haven't taken any pictures at HI, but if you look at Twitter, #MGD12STO, you'll find at least two pictures.

My friend Sofia came by and had this bag with her. I made it last summer, but forgot to take any pictures of it then. So, she kindly let me borrow it to take a picture of it- at last!

The dude on the bag is Oskar Linnros, a Swedish artist that I like as well~ Hum.. Didn't I also made a painting..?

Just so you guys know, I have NO experience when it comes to cans. It just feels like something fun worth looking into, and now that I have all of these cans I can easily experiment whenever I feel like it~

- Magnus Snickars is a very talented artist! I LOVE his stuff! He's the one who really got me started with drawing in Illustrator~
- Daniel "Weelow" Velu is a good "internet friend" who's working his way to become an concept artist. If you're into fantasy/game stuff he's someone you should follow!
- Pernilla is bloging about stuff she likes and things she has made herself. A talented person with a good taste for design~
- Per "Perry" Gustafsson is very good when it comes to graphic design, looking forward to see more stuff from him! He also have a blog with cool, inspiring stuff

Not only are my friends talented, they are fun to hang out with as well! Here is Pernilla and Per poking on another creative one

- Karin/"Jägarn" and I started out talking on the internet as well, I just had to be friends with that crazy and talented person..! It has been so fun and inspiring to see her crow as an artist ;u;
- Emil started impressing me the very first time I saw his drawings. I envy his style and commitment- for over a half year he has been drawing a picture EVERY DAY..!!
- Agnes Kallin, wow.. WOW! Her photos makes are full with emotions and tallent!
- Ida "Blixtra"/"Polly Peper" is one of my oldest, and most tallented, friends! (Lol we also met on the internet.) I have seen her grow, and fight for her dreams about becoming an tattoo artist and it makes me so happy that her dream is coming thru~

My friends is what inspires me.
Just by being themself, they give me a lot. Both love and inspiration.
I'll look around for more blogs/portfolios from other friends, hoping that they'll give you some of that love and inspiration as well!
